A discernment weekend in Quebec at the monastery of Abbey of Sainte-Marie des Deux-Montagnes
The purpose of the weekend will be to expose young women to an experience of contemplative life and to take some time away with God to discern His will. We will join the Benedictine sisters for the sung hours of prayer (in Gregorian chant). We will have some teachings on contemplative prayer, silence and discerning God's will. There will be daily mass and confession available, with the possibility of spiritual direction. We will also include a visit to the Queenship of Mary Sisters in Ottawa to learn about the active religious life and how these young women discerned their vocation.
There is limited space available (everyone will receive their own private room), so we will take registrations at a first-come first served basis.
The cost is $150 for the weekend. We will coordinate rides together. We will drive down the Friday morning and return the Sunday night.
